Biography
Mary Jane Skalski is an American film producer based in New York City. She graduated from the University of Michigan and began her career at the production company Good Machine, where she worked on early films by directors including Ang Lee, Nicole Holofcener and Edward Burns.
Skalski has produced or executive produced numerous independent features. Her credits include four collaborations with writer-director Tom McCarthy: The Station Agent (2003), The Visitor (2007), Win Win (2011) and The Cobbler (2014). Other notable productions are Mysterious Skin (2005), American Animals (2018) and Wilson (2017). She has served as an executive producer on films including Pariah (2011) and My Salinger Year (2020).
In 2003 she was named one of Variety’s Producers to Watch. For The Station Agent she received the Independent Spirit Award for Producing in 2004. She is President of Production at Echo Lake Entertainment and a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
