Biography
Mary Mara was an American actress. She was born in Syracuse, New York, on 21 September 1960 and died on 26 June 2022 in Cape Vincent, New York.
She studied at San Francisco State University, where she founded the Haight Ashbury Repertory Theatre, and later earned an MFA from the Yale School of Drama. Mara appeared in stage productions including a New York Shakespeare Festival Twelfth Night and works with the Manhattan Theatre Club.
Her screen credits include the film Bound (1996), in which she played the bartender, a recurring role as Inspector Bryn Carson on Nash Bridges (1996–1997), and appearances on ER (1995–1996) and Law & Order. She also featured in films such as Blue Steel (1990), Mr. Saturday Night (1992), K-PAX (2001) and Gridiron Gang (2006).
