Biography
Masashi Hirose is a Japanese voice actor born on 6 November 1947 in Osaka Prefecture. He is affiliated with Production Baobab and has worked in anime, video games and foreign film dubbing since the 1970s.
He voiced Kanta's Father in My Neighbor Totoro (1988). He is also known for Ramba Ral in Mobile Suit Gundam (1979) and its film trilogy, as well as roles in Cowboy Bebop (1998), Fate/Zero (2011) and One Piece Film: Z (2012). In September 2014 he was hospitalised for an unspecified illness and has since been inactive, with several of his roles recast.
