Biography
Massimo Popolizio is an Italian actor and voice actor. Born on 4 July 1961 in Genoa, he trained at the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome, graduating in 1984. He began his career in the theatre and maintained a long collaboration with director Luca Ronconi.
Popolizio has appeared in numerous films, including Romanzo Criminale (2005), Il Divo (2008) as Vittorio Sbardella, The Great Beauty (2013) as Alfio Bracco, Leopardi (2014) as Monaldo Leopardi, I'm Back (2018) as Benito Mussolini, and Once Upon a Time in Bethlehem (2019) as Erode. He is also known for voice work, including dubbing Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter films, and has received several Nastro d'Argento awards for both acting and dubbing.
