Biography
Matheus Farias is a Brazilian editor and director. Born on 24 November 1990 in Recife, Pernambuco, he trained in radio and television and specialised in film studies at the Universidade Católica de Pernambuco.
He has edited feature films including The Secret Agent (2025) and Pictures of Ghosts (2023), both directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho, as well as Property (2022) and Eros (2024). As a director and co-writer he has made several shorts, among them Unliveable (2020) and Burning Inside (2024), and is completing his first feature, The Riverbank (2026). He is a Berlinale Talents alumnus and co-founder of the production company Gatopardo.
