Biography
Mato Wayuhi, also known as Mato Standing Soldier, is an Oglala Lakota composer, musician and producer from South Dakota. He studied cinema and media studies at the University of Southern California and began releasing his own albums as a teenager.
Wayuhi is best known for composing the score for the FX and Hulu series Reservation Dogs (2021–2023). He also scored the feature film War Pony (2022), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and won the Caméra d’Or. He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Hollywood & Entertainment in 2023.
