Biography
Matt Goldman is an American television writer and novelist. He began his career as a stand-up comedian in Minneapolis and joined the writing staff of Seinfeld in 1989, serving as story editor and contributing scripts to the series in its first two seasons.
His other television credits include writing and producing roles on Ellen, The New Adventures of Old Christine (2006), Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (2016) and Wizards of Waverly Place, for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award. He was nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award for his work on Seinfeld.
Since 2017 Goldman has published several novels, including the Nils Shapiro series beginning with Gone to Dust. He is a New York Times bestselling author and lives in Minneapolis.
