Biography
Matt Michnovetz is a writer and producer. He began working on the television series 24 as a producer's assistant for the first three seasons and later contributed as a writer and story editor on multiple episodes from 2005 to 2007. He graduated from Emerson College in Boston and is based in Los Angeles.
Michnovetz has written extensively for the Star Wars franchise. He served as head writer for seasons six and seven of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) and contributed episodes to Star Wars Rebels (2014), Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021) as story editor, Star Wars: Tales of the Empire (2024) and Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld (2025). He also wrote for the upcoming Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord (2026).
His other credits include the story for the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019), for which he received a BAFTA nomination, and the independent feature Thumper (2017), which he co-wrote and executive produced.
