Biography
Matthew Nable, also credited as Matt Nable, is an Australian actor, writer and former professional rugby league footballer. Born in Sydney in 1972, he played in the Winfield Cup Premiership for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles and South Sydney Rabbitohs during the 1990s.
After retiring from the sport, Nable wrote and starred in the 2007 rugby league drama The Final Winter. He has since appeared in films including Killer Elite (2011), Riddick (2013), Son of a Gun (2014), Hacksaw Ridge (2016) and The Dry (2021). On television he has played Ra's al Ghul in Arrow (2014–2015) and DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2016), and roles in Mr Inbetween and Last King of the Cross.
Nable portrays Joe in the 2025 Netflix series Apple Cider Vinegar.
