Biography
Matthew Capodicasa is a playwright and television writer. He wrote the short film Hide and Seek (2023) and served as a staff writer on the Netflix series Vladimir (2026).
His plays include The Scenarios, All the People You’ve Been and The City in the City in the City. They have been developed or presented at venues including Studio Theatre, the Kennedy Center, Primary Stages and the National New Play Network. He is a recipient of the Woodward/Newman Drama Award and the Judith Champion Launch Commission from the Atlantic Theater Company.
Capodicasa holds a BFA from NYU Tisch and an MFA from Fordham University/Primary Stages. He completed the Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Program at the Juilliard School and teaches at NYU. He is also a founding member of the Glass Cannon Network of actual-play podcasts.
