Biography
Matthew Lawrence is an American actor and singer. Born Matthew William Mignogna on 11 February 1980 in Abington Township, Pennsylvania, he began acting as a child in the mid-1980s.
He is known for his role as Chris Hillard in the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire and as Jack Hunter in the television series Boy Meets World (1997–2000) and its sequel series Girl Meets World (2014). Lawrence has also appeared in films including Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987), Tales from the Darkside: The Movie (1990), The Hot Chick (2002) and The Comebacks (2007), and in series such as NCIS, CSI: Miami and Hawaii Five-0.
He studied acting at HB Studio in New York City and has collaborated with his brothers, actors Joey Lawrence and Andrew Lawrence, including on the series Brotherly Love (1995–1997). Lawrence was married to dancer Cheryl Burke from 2019 to 2022.
