Biography
Matthew McGough is a writer, journalist and screenwriter. He served as a legal consultant and staff writer on the NBC series Law & Order from 2006 to 2010, contributing as writer, teleplay and story on multiple episodes.
He graduated from Williams College and Fordham Law School, and worked as a law clerk to a federal judge. As a teenager he was a bat boy for the New York Yankees for two seasons. His 2004 memoir Bat Boy: Coming of Age with the New York Yankees formed the basis of the CBS series Clubhouse (2004–2005), on which he also worked as writer and producer.
McGough has published non-fiction in The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The Boston Globe. His journalism includes true-crime pieces that received Los Angeles Press Club awards.
