Biography
Matthew McManus is an American director, writer and producer. He frequently collaborates with his brother Kevin McManus, often credited as The McManus Brothers. He holds a BFA from Emerson College.
McManus made his feature directorial debut with Funeral Kings (2012), which premiered at South by Southwest. He contributed story and teleplay credits to two episodes of the series Cobra Kai (2019) and served as consulting producer on the show. With his brother, he co-wrote and produced episodes of American Vandal (2017–2018), earning a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series or Movie and a Peabody Award.
He co-directed and co-wrote the Netflix film The Block Island Sound (2021) and the 2025 film Redux Redux.
