Biography
Matthew Langford Perry was an American-Canadian actor. He was born on 19 August 1969 in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and died on 28 October 2023 in Los Angeles.
Perry gained international recognition for his role as Chandler Bing in the NBC sitcom Friends (1994–2004), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2002. He earned further Emmy nominations for appearances in The West Wing (2003) and for his performance in the television film The Ron Clark Story (2006). His other notable television work includes Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (2006–2007) and the revival of The Odd Couple (2015–2017).
In film, Perry appeared in Fools Rush In (1997), The Whole Nine Yards (2000), The Whole Ten Yards (2004) and 17 Again (2009). He published the memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing in 2022.
