Biography

Maud Hansson (later Maud Hansson Fissoun) was a Swedish actress. Born in Stockholm on 5 December 1937, she died there on 1 October 2020. She trained at Malmö City Theatre's dramatic school from 1955 and appeared in Ingmar Bergman's stage production Trämålning while a student.

She played the Witch in Bergman's The Seventh Seal (1957) and Angelica Borg in Wild Strawberries (1957). She is also known for the role of Lina in the Emil of Lönneberga films (1971–1973). Hansson worked extensively in theatre at the city theatres of Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm. She appeared in around 25 feature films and television productions between 1956 and 1991. In 1965 she married the Greek-Russian actor Petros Fissoun; the marriage ended in divorce in 1982.
