Biography

Mauricio Andrade Ramos is a Brazilian producer, executive producer and distributor based in São Paulo. He served as head executive producer at VideoFilmes, the production company owned by Walter and João Moreira Salles, from 1997 to 2012. In that role he oversaw numerous feature films and documentaries, several of which screened at major international festivals.

His credits include producer on City of God (2002) and Central Station (1998), and executive producer on Behind the Sun (2001), Madame Satã (2002) and Linha de Passe (2008). He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from PUC-Rio, awarded in 1977. He later served as president of SPCine (2017–2019) and has worked as senior consultant and CFO at Ventre Studio since 2019.

Ramos received a BAFTA nomination for his work on City of God.
