Biography
Mauro Alice (1925–2010) was a Brazilian film editor. Born in Curitiba, Paraná, he began working in the industry in the early 1950s at the Vera Cruz studio in São Paulo while studying chemistry. Over five decades he edited nearly 60 films, collaborating with directors including Amácio Mazzaropi, Walter Hugo Khouri, Anselmo Duarte and Héctor Babenco.
His credits include Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985) and Carandiru (2003), both directed by Babenco. He received the Coruja de Ouro award in 1974 for his editing of Anjo da Noite.
