Biography
Mawaan Rizwan is a Pakistani-born British actor, comedian and writer. Born in Lahore in 1992, he began his career making YouTube sketches as a teenager before training at the clown school École Philippe Gaulier near Paris.
He has written episodes of CBeebies series including Swashbuckle, Spot Bots and Apple Tree House, as well as two episodes of the Netflix series Sex Education (2020–2021). Rizwan created, wrote and starred in the BBC Three comedy Juice (2023–), for which he won a British Academy Television Award. His acting credits include Two Weeks to Live (2020) and appearances on Taskmaster. His brother Nabhaan Rizwan is also an actor.
