Biography
Max Aruj is an American composer. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, he studied composition at the USC Thornton School of Music.
He began his career assisting composers including Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe, contributing additional music and arrangements to projects such as Top Gun: Maverick (2022), Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and Black Widow (2021). As lead composer, his credits include Crawl (2019), Lansky (2021), The Ice Road (2021) and the Netflix series Mech Cadets (2023). He co-composed the score for Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (2025) with Alfie Godfrey.
