Biography
Max Benitz is a British actor, writer and journalist. He was born in London on 14 March 1985 and attended Harrow School from 1998 to 2003, appearing in student productions including As You Like It and Hamlet.
As a teenager he played Midshipman Calamy in the 2003 film Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. Subsequent acting credits include Tom Brown's Schooldays (2005), Trial & Retribution (2007), The Water Diviner (2014) and Mara (2018). He later studied history at the University of Edinburgh and pursued a career in journalism, including work in Afghanistan, and as a screenwriter.
