Biography
Max Hodge was an American television writer. He was born on 12 February 1916 in Matherville, Illinois, and died on 17 August 2007 in Woodland Hills, California.
After graduating from the University of Michigan and serving in the US Navy during the Second World War, Hodge attended the Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre Arts. He began his television career in the 1960s and wrote episodes for series including Dr. Kildare (1965), Batman (1966), The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. (1966–67, also associate producer), Mission: Impossible (1968), The Wild Wild West (1968), Ironside (1971–72), The Waltons (1975–76), CHiPs (1978–80) and Quincy, M.E. (1978). He is credited with creating the character Mr. Freeze for the Batman television series.
