Biography
Max Simon Ehrlich (1909–1983) was an American writer of novels, radio scripts, television episodes and film screenplays. Educated at the University of Michigan, he began his career writing radio dramas after the Second World War for series including The Shadow, The Big Story and Mr. and Mrs. North.
His television credits include episodes of The Defenders, The Nurses, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Wild Wild West and Star Trek (the 1967 episode 'The Apple'). Ehrlich also wrote the novels The Big Eye (1949) and The Reincarnation of Peter Proud (1974), adapting the latter for the 1975 feature film of the same name. Three of his screenplays were based on his own novels.
