Biography
Zhang Jin, also known as Max Zhang, is a Chinese actor and former wushu athlete. Born on 19 May 1974 in Chongqing, he began his career as a stunt performer, including work as a martial arts double for Zhang Ziyi in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000).
He gained recognition for his role as Ma San in The Grandmaster (2013), for which he received the Best Supporting Actor award at the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards. Subsequent credits include Ip Man 3 (2015) as Cheung Tin-chi, SPL II: A Time for Consequences (2015), Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy (2018) and Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018) as Marshal Quan. He has been married to actress Ada Choi since 2008.
