Biography

May Wynn (born Donna Lee Hickey) was an American actress. She began performing as a dancer at New York's Copacabana nightclub in her late teens and made her film debut in uncredited roles before receiving her first credited part, under her birth name, in The Farmer Takes a Wife (1953).

She adopted the stage name May Wynn after playing the character of that name, a nightclub singer, in The Caine Mutiny (1954). Her other film roles include The Violent Men (1955), The Man Is Armed (1956) and The White Squaw (1956). She also appeared in the television series Noah's Ark (1956–57).

Wynn was married to actor Jack Kelly from 1956 to 1964. After retiring from acting around 1960, she worked as a realtor and as a teacher's aide.
