Biography
Maya Bankovic is a Canadian cinematographer. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production from York University and is a full member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers.
Her feature credits include Blue Heron (2025), for which she received a cinematography award at the Zsigmond Vilmos International Film Festival; Ordinary Angels (2024); and Akilla's Escape (2021), which earned her the Canadian Screen Award for Achievement in Cinematography. Television work includes Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Mayor of Kingstown and Workin' Moms. She began in documentary and experimental filmmaking.
