Biography
Maya Sansa is an Italian actress. She was born on 25 September 1975 in Rome.
She studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, graduating in 1999. Her film debut came that year in Marco Bellocchio’s La balia, for which she received Italian Golden Globe and Ciak d’Oro awards. She later appeared in Bellocchio’s Good Morning, Night (2003) and Marco Tullio Giordana’s The Best of Youth (2003).
In 2013 Sansa won the David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Dormant Beauty. Her other screen credits include Female Agents (2008), Cycling with Molière (2013) and Revoir Paris (2022).
