Biography
Mela Melak is a Polish production designer based in Paris and working internationally. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Photography in 2011, later attending an Art Department Master Class programme.
Her credits include production design on A Real Pain (2024), directed by Jesse Eisenberg; High Life (2018), directed by Claire Denis; All My Friends Are Dead (2020); Kubrick by Kubrick (2020); and Planet Single (2016). She also worked as set decorator on several projects.
Melak was selected for Berlinale Talents in 2024. A Real Pain premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and received Academy Award, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations. Kubrick by Kubrick won an International Emmy.
