Biography
Melissa Johns is a British actress and disability activist. She was born on 21 June 1990 in Hereford, Herefordshire, and grew up in Ledbury. She trained at East 15 Acting School and has worked in television, theatre and radio.
Johns is known for roles including Sadie in The Interceptor (2015), Imogen Pascoe in Coronation Street (2017–2019), Hannah Taylor in Life (2020) and Jennifer Scott in Grantchester (2021–). She played Carla in the 2025 series Adolescence, Lana Markham in Midsomer Murders and Cecily Derbyshire in Father Brown. She is an ambassador for disability in the arts and advocates for improved representation of disabled people on and off screen.
