Biography
Melonie Díaz is an American actress. Born in New York City on 25 April 1984, she trained at the Professional Performing Arts School and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
She began her film career with supporting roles in Double Whammy (2001) and Raising Victor Vargas (2002). Díaz appeared in four films at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and received Independent Spirit Award nominations for her performances in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006) and Fruitvale Station (2013), in which she played Sophina. She is also known for the role of Alma in Be Kind Rewind (2008) and as Mel Vera in the television series Charmed (2018–2022).
