Biography
Melvin Robert is an American actor and journalist. Born on 25 August 1983 in Los Angeles, California, he has appeared in television series including Hacks (2021) as a TV Newscaster, L.A.'s Finest (2019) as Spectrum News Reporter #1, The Fix (2019) as a field reporter, and The Young and the Restless (2024) as Reverend Hoomes.
Robert is an Emmy, Golden Mike and L.A. Press Club award-winning journalist. He has worked as a co-anchor on Good Day LA, as a senior correspondent and weekend host on the syndicated programme Extra, and as an anchor on Spectrum News 1. He previously contributed to KTLA 5 Morning News and returned to the station in 2025 as an entertainment anchor.
