Biography
Mercedes Gamero is a Spanish film producer. Born in Viladecans in 1976, she is the daughter of actor Antonio Gamero. She holds a licentiate degree in German philology and a master's degree in audiovisual production from the Complutense University of Madrid.
She began her career working for Telemadrid, AXN Canal España and Sogecable before joining Grupo Antena 3 in 2004. From 2009 to 2022 she served as general manager of its film production arm Antena 3 Films, later Atresmedia Cine, where she oversaw more than 150 films. Since 2022 she has headed Beta Fiction Spain.
Her production credits include Planet 51 (2009), Three Steps Above Heaven (2010), The Body (2012), The Invisible Guest (2017), Mirage (2018) and Klaus (2019).
