Biography
Mercedes Grower is a British actress, director and writer. Born on 23 December 1980 in London, she trained in ballet at Sadler's Wells and began her career in acting with early roles including Gemma in Dirty Filthy Love (2004) and appearances in Revolver (2005) and Nathan Barley (2005).
She made her directorial debut with the feature Brakes (2016), which she also wrote, produced and starred in as Layla. The film received a special mention for the Michael Powell Award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Grower has continued to act in television, with roles including Nora in Good Omens (2019) and Claire in The Cleaner (2021). She has also performed on stage, including in the play Market Boy.
