Biography
Merila Zarei is an Iranian actress born on 14 April 1974 in Tehran. She graduated from Azad University of Tehran, where she developed an interest in acting through courses taught by Ezatollah Entezami. Her first film role was in Patak (1994), directed by Ali Asghar Shadravan.
She is known for her performances in About Elly (2009) as Shohreh and A Separation (2011) as Miss Ghahraii, Termeh's teacher. Zarei has received several awards, including Crystal Simorghs for best supporting actress in The Friday's Soldiers (2005) and best actress at the 32nd Fajr International Film Festival.
