Biography
Merje Veski is a production designer working in film and television. She serves as production designer on the FX series The Bear (2022–), for which she received a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2024 for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program (Half-Hour).
She previously worked in the property and art departments on films including Source Code (2011), Contagion (2011), Man of Steel (2013) and Jupiter Ascending (2015). Her production design credits include We Grown Now (2023), Dig Two Graves (2014) and other independent features. She is also credited as Merje Veski Carroll on earlier projects.
Originally from Estonia and based in Chicago, Veski has a background in theatre. She is resident set designer at Trap Door Theatre and has received Jeff Award nominations for scenic design.
