Biography
Mia Kirshner is a Canadian actress. She was born on 25 January 1975 in Toronto, Ontario, and studied Russian literature and the 20th-century movie industry at McGill University.
Kirshner began her career with roles in Canadian films including Love and Human Remains (1993) and Exotica (1994). She is known for her performances as Mandy in 24 (2001–2005), Jenny Schecter in The L Word (2004–2009), Isobel Flemming in The Vampire Diaries (2010–2011), and Amanda Grayson in Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2019) and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2023). In film she played Elizabeth Short in The Black Dahlia (2006) and Catherine Wyler in Not Another Teen Movie (2001). She is also a writer and social activist.
