Biography
Michał Jan Żebrowski is a Polish actor and singer. Born on 17 June 1972 in Warsaw, he trained at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw, graduating in 1995. His screen career began with the television film Samowolka (1993).
He gained prominence with leading roles in With Fire and Sword (1999) as Jan Skrzetuski and Pan Tadeusz (1999) as Tadeusz Soplica. Żebrowski was the first actor to portray Geralt of Rivia, in the film The Hexer (2001) and the associated television series. He appeared as Jurek in Roman Polański’s The Pianist (2002). Since 2010 he has directed Teatr 6. piętro in Warsaw, and he has performed in the long-running series Na dobre i na złe as Dr Andrzej Falkowicz. He has also released several albums of sung poetry and pop.
