Biography
Michael Angeli is an American television writer and producer. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree in psychology and began his career as a journalist, contributing to magazines including Esquire, Playboy and Cosmopolitan, and co-authoring the autobiography of wrestler Chyna.
His television writing credits include episodes of Now and Again, Dark Angel, Medium, Monk, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, In Plain Sight, Caprica, The 100, Black Sails and Hand of God. He wrote seven episodes of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica and served as co-executive producer on its third and fourth seasons.
Angeli received an Edgar Award nomination for an episode of Monk and an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for the Battlestar Galactica episode "Six of One". The Battlestar Galactica writing staff, including Angeli, won a Peabody Award in 2005.
