Biography
Michael Benson, also credited as Mike Benson, is an American television writer and producer. He wrote episodes of and served as co-executive producer on The Bernie Mac Show (2001–2006) and Entourage (2004–), frequently collaborating with writing and producing partner Marc Abrams.
In 2006 Benson and Abrams established the production company Catapult 360. His other television writing credits include Just Shoot Me! (1997), Breaking In (2011) and earlier series such as Big Wolf on Campus (2000). He has also written comic books, including a year-long run on Marvel's Moon Knight.
Benson received Humanitas Awards for episodes of The Bernie Mac Show and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Writers Guild of America Award for Entourage.
