Biography
Michael Besman is a film producer. A graduate of UCLA Film School, he began his career assisting on Wolfen (1981) and Trading Places (1983) before becoming a production executive at Paramount Pictures. He later held senior production roles at Guber-Peters Entertainment and TriStar Pictures, contributing to films such as Batman (1989) and Jumanji (1995).
His producing credits include The Opposite of Sex (1998), Bounce (2000) and About Schmidt (2002). He was also executive producer on Seven Years in Tibet (1997) and Georgia Rule (2007). In 2013 he joined Caryn Mandabach Productions to develop and produce television content.
