Biography
Michael D. Xavier is an English actor and singer. He trained at Manchester Metropolitan University and began his professional career with a West End debut in the musical Pageant in 2000. He is a two-time Laurence Olivier Award nominee for his stage performances, including in Into the Woods, and has appeared in leading roles in West End and Broadway productions such as Sunset Boulevard.
Xavier has appeared in television series including Outlander (2020) as Lieutenant Hamilton Knox, Gentleman Jack (2019–2022) as Dr Steph Belcombe, The Blacklist (2019) as Christopher Miles, Grace (2021) as Martin Broom, The Chelsea Detective (2022) as Patrick Thompson, and Grantchester (2022–2023) as DCI Elliott Wallace. His film credits include Never Let Go (2015), Paris, Wine & Romance (2019), Hammarskjöld: Fight for Peace (2023), Utopia (2024) and The History of Sound (2025).
