Biography
Michael Emerson is an American actor. He was born on 7 September 1954 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and studied theatre at Drake University before completing an MFA at the University of Alabama.
He is known for his roles as Benjamin Linus in the series Lost (2006–2010) and Harold Finch in Person of Interest (2011–2016). Earlier work includes Zep Hindle in the film Saw (2004) and William Hinks in The Practice (2000–2001).
Emerson has won two Primetime Emmy Awards, for guest acting in The Practice and supporting acting in Lost. He has been married to actress Carrie Preston since 1998.
