Biography
Michael Goi is an American cinematographer and director. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he studied at Columbia College Chicago and began his career working in documentaries and commercials before relocating to Los Angeles in 1991.
As a cinematographer he has contributed to numerous television series, including The Mentalist (2008) and American Horror Story (2011), the latter in collaboration with Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. He has also directed episodes of American Horror Story and other series such as The Rookie (2018) and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018), as well as the feature film Megan Is Missing (2011). Goi is a past president of the American Society of Cinematographers and a four-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee for his cinematography.
