Biography

Michael Graham Cox was an English actor. He appeared in film, television and on stage from the 1960s until his death in 1995.

He is known for his voice performances as Bigwig in the animated film Watership Down (1978) and as Boromir in the animated The Lord of the Rings (1978). Other film roles include Palmer in Women in Love (1969), Captain Cleminson in A Bridge Too Far (1977) and the 3rd Passport Control Officer in Cry Freedom (1987).

On television he appeared in series including All Creatures Great and Small (1978) and Grange Hill (as Mr Butterworth). He also worked extensively in BBC radio drama.
