Biography
Michael Gross is an American actor known for both comedic and dramatic roles in television, film and on stage. He was born in Chicago on 21 June 1947 and trained at the University of Illinois Chicago and the Yale School of Drama. He began his career in theatre, including work with the Actors Theatre of Louisville and a Broadway debut in the American premiere of Bent (1979).
Gross first gained wide recognition as Steven Keaton on the sitcom Family Ties (1982–1989). His longest-running role is survivalist Burt Gummer in the Tremors franchise, which he has played in every film since the original in 1990 and in the 2003 television series. He is the only actor to appear in all entries of the series.
