Biography
Michael Hudecek is an Austrian film editor, director and musician. Born in Vienna in 1961, he began working in the film industry in 1981 as a picture and sound technician before specialising in editing. He founded the editing studio Offline – Film-Editing in 1992 and later co-founded the production company GAMSfilm&music with Christina Zurbrügg.
Hudecek edited Michael Haneke's Caché (2005), sharing the European Film Prize for Best Editing with Nadine Muse. He has worked on numerous feature films, documentaries and television productions. Since 2010 he has been professor of editing at the Filmakademie Wien.
