Biography
Michael Imison is a retired British television director and literary agent. Born on 9 February 1935 in Hoylake, Cheshire, he attended Exeter College, Oxford.
He began his career at the BBC in the Script Department. Under contract as a director he worked on Compact and a serial adaptation of Thomas Mann's Buddenbrooks. His final directorial assignment for the BBC was the Doctor Who serial The Ark (1966). He subsequently served as story editor on the second series of the science-fiction anthology Out of the Unknown.
Imison later became a literary agent, founding Michael Imison Playwrights Limited.
