Biography

Michael Kane (also credited as Mike Kane) was a Canadian actor who worked in film and television in both Canada and the United States. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War before beginning his career in New York City with roles in anthology series such as Lights Out and Omnibus.

He appeared as Paul Bondi in Lonely Are the Brave (1962), Commander Allison in The Bedford Incident (1965) and S.W. Wicks in Three Days of the Condor (1975). Kane was twice nominated for ACTRA Awards for Best Television Performance, and he frequently narrated documentaries for the National Film Board of Canada. He was the uncle of actor Art Hindle.
