Biography
Michael Mooney is a British costume designer and supervisor. He began his career in the costume department with assistant and supervisor roles on major productions including the Star Wars prequel trilogy (1999–2005), Stardust (2007), Sunshine (2007), The Martian (2015) and Thor: The Dark World (2013).
He has since taken on associate and lead designer credits, including costume designer on Dread (2009) and Supergirl (2026), associate costume designer on No Time to Die (2021) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023), and costume effects supervisor on the latter. He has also worked on Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019), Justice League (2017) and the series Blue Eye Samurai (2023).
