Biography
Michael Patrick King is an American television writer, director and producer. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he moved to New York in 1975, where he performed stand-up comedy and wrote plays before relocating to Los Angeles. He began his television career writing for the series Murphy Brown.
King is best known for his work on Sex and the City (1998–2004), where he served as writer, executive producer and director of the 2008 and 2010 feature films. He co-created the comedies The Comeback (2005), 2 Broke Girls (2011) and AJ and the Queen (2020), and has contributed to Will & Grace and And Just Like That… (2021).
