Biography
Michael Peraza Jr. is an American animator, art director, conceptual artist and production designer. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he trained at the California Institute of the Arts before joining Walt Disney Feature Animation.
He contributed to numerous Disney projects in layout, art direction and visual development, including The Fox and the Hound (1981), Tron (1982), The Little Mermaid (1989) and Aladdin (1992). He later served as production designer on Anastasia (1997) for Don Bluth Entertainment and Fox Feature Animation. Peraza also helped develop Disney Television Animation series such as DuckTales, Darkwing Duck and Goof Troop.
He received the Friz Freleng Lifetime Achievement Award and the Disneyana Fan Club Legend Award. He is married to fellow Disney Master Artist Patty Peraza.
